I felt like I'd come home!

Another celebrant recommended Celebrants Collective to me. I visited the website and on every level really connected with Claire and Natasha's content. I felt like I'd come home. The course is jam packed with great content and now that I've qualified I have access to loads more goodies in the members area. There aren't enough hours in the day to feast on all the information!

Wedding Celebrant, Oldham

Everyday, I'm so glad that I've made this choice!

I chose to train with the Celebrants Collective because they felt like my kind of people! I took some advice from a seasoned celebrant (everyone is so kind anyway!) and she said "you have to go with what feels right for you"  I was looking for a smiley face, friendly exchanges, patience, a positive and open learning style which would match my outlook. The opportunity to study from home and at my own pace, consistent and fun communication. Natasha and Claire answered questions I didn't even know I had and if all of that wasn't enough, they were so highly recommended. Everyday, I'm so glad that I've made this choice!

The values of the trainers are in line with my own!

One of the big selling points for me to choose this course amongst the myriad courses available was your inclusion messaging. It was very important to me that the values of my trainers were in line with my own. I think the fact that this company is owned and run by a black woman and a white woman is hugely impactful and is also a reason I chose this company. Thank you for making inclusion a central part of the course ,your practice and your business.

Training to become a wedding celebrant is a little like learning to drive a car, insomuch as you are only likely to go through initial training once, and even when you get your licence, you might still feel like a beginner.

That’s where the Celebrants Collective Wedding Celebrant course comes into its own. Yes, our course is fresh and modern, inclusive, relevant and comprehensive. We’ll take you on a thorough, fun learning journey over the four days we’re together. You’ll get to practise each element of the ceremony, and present to your peers on the course.

But when the course is over and you’re back home, with Celebrants Collective, you’re not alone.

You have lifetime access to the online version of the course, so you can keep checking back and filling in details.

But it gets better still. You are welcome to attend our weekly tutorials forever. That means, weeks, months and years after you complete your wedding celebrancy course with us, you can hop onto a tutorial, and get great guidance on your real-life celebrant concerns.

What’s more, we also give you a year’s membership of the Celebrants Collective HQ, which gives you access to hundreds of hours of advice and inspiration to help you deal with specific situations you’re likely to encounter as you meet more couples and deal with the intricacies of real life, plus members-only access to online and live events, monthly coaching calls, and our lively online forum of mutual professional support and friendship.

"

I chose The Celebrants Collective as my training body following a discovery call with Claire. Her warmth and genuine passion for celebrancy shone through - there was no hard sell or pushiness; it felt absolutely genuine.

My gut instinct proved sound. Tutored by some of the very best celebrants in the business, there was also plentiful reassurance, encouragement, warmth, wit and wisdom. The course was comprehensive and I loved every second.

If you had told me three years ago that I would now be an award-winning celebrant I would have laughed until my sides split. Thanks to The Celebrants Collective, however, I have fulfilled both my potential and my wildest dreams.

If you’re looking for first class training that has authenticity and integrity as core values, as well as ongoing support and a fabulous community of fellow celebrants, I highly recommend The Celebrants Collective.  With bells on!

The Celebrants Collective approach to learning

Between us, we’ve been on enough courses to know we do not want to be glued to a desk all day, listening to a monotone monologue, with hundreds of PowerPoint slides, harsh overhead lighting and limp sandwiches for lunch! That would fly in the face of the kind of celebrant we want you to become.

Instead, here’s how we structure your learning experience:

Active learning with a variety of tried, tested and successful group, pair work and individual activities.

Access to hours of online learning materials, just like our online students.

Space and time to process what you are learning.

Full access to our much loved twice-weekly tutorials for as long as you want, after the in-person course has finished.

Time for working on your own to reflect and make this course your own.

A chance to walk away from the course fully certified as a Celebrants Collective wedding celebrant.

And did you know that the access to our online resources and tutorials ensures that you have all the time in the world to really:

Embrace the Celebrants Collective approach.

Consolidate your learning so you don’t forget.

Keep asking questions and develop even further over the coming months at no extra cost.

"

I'm not going to lie. Being a celebrant can feel quite lonely because you are working by yourself and Celebrants Collective gives me support, it gives me colleagues, it gives me people who understand and who are not there to compete.

Celebrants Collective always have my back and they will always just scoop me up in this like, hug of love and wisdom. And that's what that's what I get from my membership of the Celebrant[s] Collective.

Alex Hilder, Celebrant- Wedding celebrant, Kent

About Course Leader, Claire Bradford

With an extensive background in teaching and coaching, and previously having worked as an independent celebrant trainer, now as the Head of Training of the Celebrants Collective, Claire brings her rich, varied and invaluable experiences to the training table. Having designed, developed and created all of the wedding and funeral celebrant training courses, influenced by her acute understanding of how diverse learning experiences can be, the courses and their popularity are a testament to her modern, progressive and inclusion approach to adult learning.

Claire lives in Worthing, West Sussex with her family and loves nothing more than a peaceful walk alongside the promenade or the nearby stunning South Downs. And tea! Claire loves tea.

Here’s what our trainees say about our celebrant training

Jamie Walker

Wedding Celebrant, Norfolk

Motivational, inspirational, incredible!

Claire is an exceptional trainer. She holds space expertly. Her teaching style is fun, laid back, relatable and relaxed yet also direct, motivational, and professional.  She doesn't just offer incredible teaching but also actively encourages you to explore what being a celebrant feels like from your own perspective and creates a safe environment for this testing out of ideas to happen with ease.

Corinne Davidson

Wedding Celebrant, Cambridgeshire UK

Modern and inclusive!

I had looked at a number of courses online and reached out to a celebrant friend to see if she had any good tips. She recommended The Celebrants Collective and the 'feel' of the group was a good fit for me. I liked that it is modern and inclusive and I liked the emphasis on building a supportive community from which to draw (and offer) encouragement, guidance, and ideas

Vim Mukuze

Wedding Celebrant,

Ready to take on the world!

As a former registrar, I've gone away thinking and feeling like I'm ready to take on the world because what I have learned has far surpassed what I could have ever researched on my own. And it's been so fun and engaging the whole way through. I cannot recommend this course enough to anyone wanting to train as a celebrant.

Got a question for us?

Here are some of the questions other people have asked us.

Why did you launch the face-to-face celebrant training course as well as your online course?

Our courses launched in a global pandemic, so they had to be online! We’ve had the absolute honour of training hundreds of awesome celebrants over the past 4 years through our hybrid online celebrant course which includes unlimited weekly live tutorials. We know our trainees love our celebrant courses for their flexibility, ongoing support and family feel.

After much deliberation, we decided to offer a face-to-face version with the same in-depth learning, the same integrity, the same ongoing support and the same inclusive training.

Do you recommend I take the Wedding Celebrant course online or in-person?

You’ll probably know best what is right for you, but here are some thoughts from us!

Our in-person course might be for you if:

  • You love learning in-person and around other people

  • You can comfortably take some time out and immerse yourself in the course over four days

  • You want to have a concentrated few days of learning and come out as a certified celebrant (satisfactory completion of assignments needed)

  • You would like to learn in a spacious and beautiful setting

  • You would like the opportunity to socialise with and learn from your fellow trainees and tutors in the evenings (introverts please note – this is not obligatory!)

  • You can get to West Sussex (there is plenty of parking and good transport links)

  • (let’s be real here) you have a bit more money to invest in your training

Our online course might be for you if:

  • You love being connected with other trainees around the globe (and you’re ok with that connection being via Zoom)

  • You like having flexible training that fits around your life

  • You want to take the time you need (nb you can get to certification in as little as two weeks, or you can take months or even years depending on what works for you)

  • You can’t get to West Sussex easily

  • You can’t take a chunk of time out

  • It suits your budget better

Is there any difference in terms of the content of the wedding celebrant courses online and in person?

Our online and in-person celebrant training courses both contain the same, quality learning materials, opportunity for discussion and creativity, supportive learning environment, inclusivity and fun. One is not better than the other but the delivery and the surroundings are different.

Ask us a question!

Thanks for reaching out to us. Ask us anything you like and we’ll be in touch as soon as possible.
