Important note: LEGAL WEDDING CEREMONIES -  In England and Wales, and lots of other European countries,  independent wedding celebrants do not have the power to legally marry couples. Couples have a short legal ceremony with a registrar or equivalent, and then most often, on a completely different day, they then celebrate their marriage with a personal ceremony led by a wedding celebrant.

Claire based in West Sussex (England) and Natasha based in Malaga (Spain) are both wedding celebrants. The ceremonies that they carry out do not make their couples legally married.

Please make sure that you understand the rules and requirements for your own country regarding legal marriages. Even if your country allows celebrants to have legal marriage powers, you can still work as an independent celebrant, as not all couples require a legal ceremony. Others prefer to have their legal ceremony at a different time/day/location to their personal wedding ceremony.

Our courses are focused on the art of ceremony. How to work with couples to create a personal ceremony for them and how to write and lead that ceremony on the day. As well as understanding the entire work process from start to finish, the ceremony choreography and importantly, the business side of being a celebrant too. You can read more about our wedding course here and funeral course here.
